Title: Country of entry into Schengen are
Post by: rpg on March 10, 2012, 12:40:26 pm
Hi

I am living in Netherlands. I have invited my family members from India (holding indian PP). We applied for Schengen visa at NL Consulate and got the visa stamped with validity to "Schengen States" and with single entry. Now two questions to me

1. Can they fly to brussels (belgium) intead of amsterdam and then travel by car to NL?
2. With the current schengen visa, can they also travel to Switzerland?. it is not clear whether swiss are fully into Schengen regulations

I am sure these questions would have been asked many times in the past, but still need clarity to the date!!

Thanks in anticipation

Both Belgium and NL are part of the Schengen zone. Traveling from Brussels to Amsterday, you do not leave the Schengen zone, so a single entry visa should not be a problem.
