Title: 90/180 PAIN IN THE ASS!
Post by: katia_USA on January 05, 2018, 04:46:36 pm
I read other people's posts and now i'm twice as confused. So let me just state my example and I'd be happy to receive the yes/no answer.
I'm the US citizen.
First time I entered Germany was in August 4 this summer.
Does this 90/180 clock start from this date?
If so, the 180 day clock resets on Feb 4th and I'll get another 90 days from Feb 4. Is that correct?
A giant thanks!  ::)

It works a bit differently. The 180 days time frame in the 90/180 rule is a rolling 180 window. You have to look back 180 days, at any time of your stay, and make sure you do not exceed 90 days within this period. See here for a sample 90/180 rule calculation. Hope it helps.

I overstayed by Schengen visa?? HOW??? HELP!
