Title: Marrying in Malta
Post by: KKCA on March 13, 2018, 08:00:24 pm
Hi All,

Need your help. I am a Filipina and my boyfriend is Maltese. We are planning for go for Civil Marriage here in Malta. My authenticated documents are yet to arrive in Malta and my visa is about to expire on May 5, 2018. Will there be any problem since my documents are not yet complete to register for a civil marriage before my visa gets expired?

What documents do you have on mind? In most states, merely a reliable and state-issued ID is required for a marriage (for identification purpose). A passport can serve this purpose as well.

My fiancée called and they told him for both birth certificates and free status certificates to be authenticated with ared ribbon. My concern is the remaining visa days I have. Thanks
