Title: Oil - will the price of oil reach $100 this year?
Post by: apapunas on March 30, 2009, 08:42:45 pm
If you look at the price of oil ... $140 last summer, then $36 a few weeks ago, now back to $50. Will it go back to $100?

I am sure it will. As soon as the economy starts to expand, there will be thirst for oil again. In addition to that, as soon as inflation kicks in, US dollar will sink which will push the price of oil up. Everyone who has free money, buy oil now.

With the situation in the middle east so uncertain and potential for more ecological problems this year. Will oil go above 100 per barrel this year?

Oh yeah, what did I say in April when the oil was $40/barrel. I wish I had bought more back then.  ;D I do not think it will go over $100 this year, but it is sure bet it will go over next year. Dollar is on the slide, and it will fall further - just that alone is a great predictor of the oil apreciating.
