Title: What if my tax return reaches IRS after 15th?

I am sending my tax return tomorrow, it will not make it by 15th. Is that a problem?

If it is postmarked before or on 15th, you are ok. The date on the post stamp is the delivery date.

However, make sure IRS has your money by 15th. The tax return needs to be post marked by 15th, and it is ok for them to receive it later, but when it comes to money, the money needs to be in their account by 15th.
