Title: Getting married in the Netherlands while on Schengen Visa
Post by: azealia on January 04, 2012, 10:59:26 am
I am getting married to my Dutch fiance soon in the Netherlands, and I was wondering if it is possible while I'm on Schengen Visa instead of a Residence Permit? What type of Visa do I need? Thanks in advance. Also, I dont intend to stay longer than 3 months.

If you want to get married, then you can do so regardless of the type of your visa. For marriage purpose, it does not matter what type of visa you have or whether you have visa at all. As a matter of fact, being married to your Dutch partner will speed up getting the residence permit.
