Title: Getting married in the Netherlands while on Schengen Visa Post by: azealia on January 04, 2012, 10:59:26 am I am getting married to my Dutch fiance soon in the Netherlands, and I was wondering if it is possible while I'm on Schengen Visa instead of a Residence Permit? What type of Visa do I need? Thanks in advance. Also, I dont intend to stay longer than 3 months.

For marriage purpose, it does not matter what type of visa you have or whether you have visa at all. As a matter of fact, being married to your Dutch partner will speed up getting the residence permit.
