Title: regular residence permit holders of a Schengen Member country
Post by: Iva on October 19, 2015, 10:41:28 am
Hello,

as rule, a citizen of a non Eu country with a regular residence permit issued by one of the States Members (in my case permanent residence permit) can travel within the Schengen area without a visa according to the 90 days every 180 days. What I find hard to understand is how the 180 days calculation is performed. I´ve been trying to use the Eu calculator, so called Schengen-calculator, but unfortunately without getting the meaning of that. For example, if I enter another schengen country on 24/09/2015 I thought this was the starting day of the 180 days period, as well as the 90 days period start. It turns out, instead, according to the online calculator that 180 period started on 29/03/15 and the 90 days one at 27/06/15.

thanks in advance for your feedback
Iva

Hello Iva, see here for a sample 90/180 rule calculation: 90/180 Schengen visa rule (http://www.maxi-pedia.com/forum/index.php?topic=562.msg1838#msg1838) (http://www.maxi-pedia.com/forum/index.php?topic=562.msg1838#msg1838).
