My son is yet to receive his study visa for germany and I wish to accompany him.
The problem is he will become late for the start of his program if we apply later for my visa.
This is why I have prepared travel plans of 35 days in germany and austria next month stating that i m only going to be.going for tourism and instead stay with my son for the period.
Do you think it is easy to get the visa in this way or wait for my son's approval email and submit that later?
Kindly help and suggest something Wink

One risk in applying too soon is that you might get visa which is limited to a certain time period. For example, you get visa that has a one month validity for a stay of up to a week. It is impossible to estimate the decision of the embassy beforehand with such limited information. Practice between embassies varies, some embassies give 3months visa freely, some issue hardly week visas, some issue hardly any visas at all. If you read through this forum, you will see many posters who have submitted their visa applications with all the necessary documents and did not even get the visa at all. Can your son travel alone with you arriving later when you get the visa, or is it crucial that you board the airplane together?
