Ok, so here is the deal.

My wife and I are applying for the permanent residence on Sweden. It has been a long waiting period and we had to go back to Mexico where we are original from.
So our old temporary residence expired on Oct 5, 2016. So then we waited... now on 2017, she flew to Mexico on February.
She was stopped because it was more than 90 days since the temporary residence had expired. So then she got banned for 90 days before she could come back to Europe.

BUT, she got now her permanent residence on Sweden and she got now the card and everything that proves it.

Now the question is...does anybody knows if this permanent residence would overwrite the 90 days ban from Europe that she got some days ago?? Because she is schedule for coming back on 1 month (we live on Sweden of course), but we don't want to face the problem on being sent back just because of this (it's a long trip from Mexico haha)

Thnx for your replies!

In case the permanent residence card has been issued after the ban has been issued, then yes as the permanent residence card is the document that officially legalizes her stay. If you want to be safe, can she wait in Mexico until the 90-days ban is out and finally travel then, when it is expired?

Hi!

Thank you very much for your reply.

The permanent residence card will be issued during the next weeks, so yes it will be afterwards the ban.

The temporary residence expired on Oct 05, 2016. And we have been waiting for the new card for months now but things are really slow nowadays here in Sweden.

We are thinking on looking a flight directly to Sweden from Mexico, so the migration port would be Sweden and they will check on the system that she has the permanent residence already there matching the plastic card that she will bring

Staying in Mexico for 90 days it's not an option, we have our lives ongoing on Sweden so she can't stay that long over there
