I have a huge dillema. I have two offers.

a) consultant, long hours, nice money, big 4

b) auditor, government, nice hours, money not bad for the government

Which one should I choose?

I would definitely go with the job security. Consultants are the first ones that are let go when the economy goes under.

It is hard to say. I have a friend that works as an audit director for a major insurance company. He works 12 hrs every day, very often on weekends too. But he's got the money. He is building a house. Once he has enough to live and not have any mortgage, he will be happy man. Which is better - suffer for some time and then be ok, or be ok all the time but not completely ok?
