Hi,

I am attaching schedule C, D, SE, 8829 to my federal 1040. Do I need to follow some order of attachments? Does it matter how attachments to 1040 are ordered?

Thanks.

The order of attachments to 1040 is determined by the so called attachment sequence number. When you look at the top of every schedule (any schedule other than 1040), there is attachment sequence number. For example Schedule C has attachment sequence number 9. Schedule SE has attachment sequence number 17. 17 is more than 9, so schedule SE should be attached after schedule C. Attach schedules in this order.

Just a note, do not staple attachments to your 1040. Leave it free, or if you have to something with it, paper clip it.
