hey guys,

Its all over the web that form 2290 is expiring on september 2011 and the IRS has announced that form 2290 will not be available for electronic filing or even paper filing. How are we going to do our truck tax filing now?

"The law that governs the annual tax imposed on the use of heavy highway vehicles (Form 2290) expires at the close of September 30, 2011."

I guess it means the tax will not be collected after that time? Smiley

I found an article in articlebase titled: 2290 Tax Form 2011 – Changes are coming

which says that greentax2290.com is the first company to be certified to e file form 2290 for 2011-2012. Hence, what I feel is that filing of form 2290 is only delayed and a new form 2290 will be available soon. I dont think IRS wont collect taxes on heavy vehicle use tax as atari said because that would mean huge losses to internal revenue service. I guess calling up IRS or greentax2290.com is a better choice rather than assuming... Cheesy.....if anyone gets any updates do let us all know....thanks inadvance...
