The Ilinois tax rate is 3%

See line 13 on the IL 1040 form.

Thank for the share. Grin Anyway, I came to learn just recently that even unemployed were also responsible for paying taxes. The article states that those unlucky enough to have been out of work for a long period, and who are seeing their savings dwindle, can at least expect a break from the IRS. Although most would probably rather have a job, work-seekers can take a plethora of deductions that are not accessible to the workforce.
