schengen visa for a philippine passport holder

Hello, I am a Philippine passport holder.  Do I need a Schengen visa if I enter UK for a visit to a friend or just a UK tourist visa?

UK is not in Schengen area. You need only UK visa to travel UK Wink

Correct, the Schengen visa does not apply to UK, it applies to countries in the Schengen zone (most of Europe without the UK).
