on study visa in uk and if i need a schengen visa to go to france.

im from india and i have come to uk on a study visa. i need to know if i have to apply for a schengen visa for travelling to france or if the current study visa i hav will suffice.

The UK is not part of the Schengen visa and does not recognize Schengen visa. The same applies the other way around.

You will need visa for european countries.
