Hi everybody,

I’m a student from Tunisia and I have applied for a Visa Type D for Spain, for 6 months for a scholar internship, the starting date is 12.03.2012 and the final day is on 12.09.2012. The problem is that I receive my VISA the date it started (which is 12.03.2012), and I have booked my ticket to fly on 18.03.2012 to 14.09.2012, which means 48 hours after its expiration. I found in the VISA “Estancia hasta 6 Meses” which means Stay only 6 months and it is written on it that the duration of stay is 180 days. So technically from 18th March to 14th September is 180 days exactly. Do you call that an overstay? If so do you think I have to extend my Visa for just for 2 days or it’s just OK?
Looking forward to hear your answers.
Thanks in advance
Best regards

I suggest you read these two threads as contributors of these threads had a similar problem:

URGENT! Overstaying German Schengen Visa by a JUST a few hours

Stopped by German authorities after overstaying 90 day visa

A lot is explained also here: Overstaying Schengen visa

Cheers.
