port of entry for schengen visa

we, from India,  intend to visit from 26th march for 5 nights in Italy and subsequently for 6 nights in Switzerland. technically the stay in Switzerland is more than in Italy, but first night stay is in Italy. our port of entry would be Zurich from where we would be leaving immediately for Naples by train. i think i have to get the visa from Swiss embassy, because the first port of entry is Zurich and i will be staying in Switzerland for 6 nights, but there is a confusion whether i require to get it thru embassy of Italy since the first night stay is in Italy. may any one resolve this issue. i will be highly grateful. thanx.

It does not matter which country is the first one. It goes by which of them is your main destination. If you spend more nights in Switzerland, then Switzerland is your main destination.
