Overstay by 7 days and boardercrossing

I'm currently studying but because my program is less than 90 days, I decided to go with the schengen visa (I'm Canadian, by the way). I traveled a bit but my flight out is on April 12th, 7 days over the date my visa expires. I don't really have any more money to travel to the UK or somewhere, so I want to know how strict the Brussels international airport leave is and if anyone has any advice for me.
