Hi,
I'm representing a group of 50 peoples planning to go to Italy for a cultural event, followed with some personal tours by half of the group. The ITN plan for each member had also been stated in a list submitted for the visa application. However, the Italian embassy only wanted to focus on the event invitation, and based on that agreed to issue a 15-day visas for all of members, while we actually have people already planned (&, unfortunately, finalised all the payments )  for longer trips to other schengen countries (varied from 17 to 27 days). Is there any possibility to apply for the continuation of the visa to other consulates? What are the best options we can have in this situation? Appreciate any answers.

Has the visa for the first period been already issued? Either your post or the title is a little confusing. From reading you post, it appears to me that the second trip follows the first trip, in other words, you do not need to have two visas issued for the same period, but you need to have two consecutive or adjoining visas. When one visa ends, the second visa starts. Correct? Besides the 90/180 rule, the Schengen Acquis imposes no limit on how many days there need to be between two visas, having two consecutive visas should not be any problem. Embassies of other countries may be just reluctant to giving you visa seeing that you already have one from Italy, they may question why the Italian embassy dit not issue visa for the whole trip.

Hi Danisara,
Thank you for the response. The visa is not issued yet but has been agreed based on the last interview session by the Italian embassy , we have been called for an additional interview session because of this issue. Yes, they're not overlapping but adjacent. The other embassies we called have been giving different responses, mostly said it's not possible, some answered it might be possible but no guarantee.
Appreciate any further information on this matter.
Thanks

Hopefuly you will be able to explain the situation at the additional interview session and they will grant the visa. Let us know how it goes, and whether you were successful.
