I am working in Malta for the last year & a half, living here with my wife and young daughter. I have a work & residence permit - my wife & daughter not...

They are overstaying a year already. I want to go and register them - but Im nervous that they might be deported. If I'm legally staying in the Shengen Area, can I have them registered without deportation?

If you were a legal citizen in Malta, they could not be deported. In case you have a work & residence permit only, they might have to be ordered to leave the country. Work permit is not a legal status strong enough (in terms of ties to the country).
