Please recommend reputable insurance for Schengen visa

Hello,

Please recommend some insurance companies I can go to for the compulsory insurance to get a Schengen visa.  I have already looked at the following:

AXA Insurance at axa-schengen dot com
HCC Medical Insurance schengenvisainsurance dot com
(The forum doesn't allow me to post links.)

Has anyone used any of these sites or know if they are reputable sites.

Or perhaps you know of another insurance company.

I did a little bit more research so I'm actually answering my own post.

I was interested in the Atlas Series of international medical insurance products for my Schengen visa because it was much cheaper than AXA and had Lloyd's as the underwriter.

There are several agents online (go to hccmis dot com/find-an-agent for a list) aside from the one that I mentioned but most of them did not have secure sites.  That is, the browser does not show the lock icon on the page where you enter your credit card details, so I did not want to deal with them.  However, the site called insubuy dot com has a secure site and they offer products other than Atlas.  I checked the BBB and they are an accredited A+ business based in Texas.  I will go with this site and hopefully all goes well and I get my visa.

Should something go wrong while doing business with them I will update this post.

I forgot to mention that I will be flying out of the United States.

I just realized that the visitors of this forum are from a lot of different countries.

The information I posted will be most useful to those staying in the USA.

Hi, AXA is a reputable insurance business. They have assistance centers throughout Europe. One thing to mention, countries in Europe often have some sort of public health care system, and therefore also a national health insurance provider. This provider has to provide health insurance to foreign nationals by law, so it might be a good idea to look for this health insurer specific to the country to which you travel.

By the way, US citizens do not need Schengen visa for travel less than 90 days.

Just entering schengen visa insurance in Google provides pretty good results too.
