Need your help:
An indian citizen who works in a Indian Company is going to be transferred to a branch of this company in Portugal where he will be working to a French customer.
This person is going to apply for a Portuguese work permit to allow him work and stay temporarly in Portugal. During his stay in Portugal he will need to travel and work for short periods in France at his customer site.

My question is:
Is there any Schegen visa category that jointly with his Portuguese work permit allows him to work in France for multiple but short periods?

Hello, it is the Schengen visa Category D+C. See here: Schengen visa categories.

Thanks for your reply, but with a Portuguese Visa type D (work permit) combined with a Shengen type C, is it allowed to work in France?

For working in France, you would need visa from France, as that would be your main destination.
